Subsea Data Systems Presents Innovations at Los Alamos National Laboratory

Subsea Data Systems President Matt Fouch had a fantastic visit to Los Alamos National Laboratory this week, where he delivered a presentation on the company's latest innovations in subsea technology.

Matt met with a wide range of scientists and technical staff, and the experience was both engaging and productive. LANL’s hospitality and collaboration created an ideal environment for meaningful technical exchange.

Discussions centered on the ongoing progress in SMART Cable development, where Subsea Data Systems continues to push the boundaries of what's possible in combining telecommunications infrastructure with environmental monitoring capabilities. It was exciting to share SDS's advancements and equally inspiring to learn about the cutting-edge research taking place at Los Alamos. The synergy between the lab's scientific expertise and SDS's industry innovations points to promising opportunities for future collaboration.

A highlight of the visit came courtesy of Dr. Charlotte Rowe, who organized the visit as well as an unforgettable field trip to Valles Caldera. The stunning volcanic landscape provided not just breathtaking views but also a fascinating glimpse into the geological processes that shape our planet—a fitting complement to discussions about monitoring the ocean environment.

Subsea Data Systems is already looking forward to the next visit and the continued collaboration with the talented team at Los Alamos National Laboratory. When innovation meets inspiration, exciting things happen!
