Iberian Connection SMART Cables Workshop

Subsea Data Systems was pleased to participate in the “Iberian Connection” SMART Cables Workshop, held at the Royal Observatory of Madrid on Monday, 19 May 2025. The event brought together leaders from science, technology, and policy to explore opportunities for advancing SMART Cable infrastructure across the Iberian region.

During the workshop, the Subsea Data Systems President Matt Fouch shared the latest updates on its SMART Sensor Systems and SMART Data Systems product lines—innovations designed to integrate environmental sensing and data management into subsea telecommunications infrastructure.

Subsea Data Systems looks forward to continued collaboration with partners in Spain as they develop their own SMART Cable initiatives, further expanding the global network of systems that enhance ocean monitoring, climate science, and disaster resilience.
